Classical, Tango, Baroque and Jazz Double bassist, Daniel Lalonde, has made his mark in the Toronto music scene having recently performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, The Canadian Opera Company, Tapestry Opera, Toronto Operetta Theatre, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Windsor Symphony and various Jazz events around the GTA with his Trio. In 2015-16 Daniel was a member of the world touring crossover ensemble, Barrage 8, performing concerts, musical outreach and recording an album. He's also a part of a traditional Argentinian Tango group called, Amarras which performs regularly around Toronto.

A student of Jeffrey Beecher and alumnus of The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music, Daniel started his education at the University of Ottawa under the tutelage John Geggie and David Currie. Daniel is also a passionate teacher as he teaches double bass, electric bass and piano at his studio, Jones Music Studio, just off of the Danforth in Toronto.

His musical tastes extend out from Classical, Jazz and Baroque having performed electric bass in progressive metal bands, folk ensembles, and pop cover bands; having recorded on the Canadian folk Artist, Gianna Lauren's first 2 albums in Ottawa and Halifax.
